CONSTRUCTED NATURE

Opening September 3, 18:00 pm Constructed Nature features works by Boryana Pandova, Martin Atanasov, Rositsa Getsova and Slava Savova. The exhibition is curated by Maria Deyanova, Paola Dimova, Stoyan Petrov and Yana Goncheva as part of Credo Bonum Gallery’s internship program, under the mentorship of Vessela Nozharova. The city is often perceived as a space from which nature has been displaced, as if nature were something that exists elsewhere, wherever humans are not. What, then, do we make of the water from our taps, the meat we consume, the weeds growing between broken paving stones, and urban parks? The exhibition examines where our idea of a boundary between “city” and “nature” comes from and how this distinction participates in the production of material boundaries.
