Nationalism, extremism, and fascism aren't aberrations that happen to "other people." They are human responses to uncertainty and injustice, which means they could happen to any of us, including you and me. To counter this threat we need to understand it and remain vigilant. The project creates a speculative narrative by transforming the gallery into an underground bio-laboratory and staging a performance on the opening night to activate it. The space works both as a memory of the act and a reminder of its consequences. The concept imagines a future in which women warriors are lab-engineered to dismantle fascist and colonial systems of control. The performance depicts the ceremony of transformation - the moment a person becomes a warrior, a weapon, a tool of resistance. The women undergo a kind of ideological conditioning - their reality recalibrated, their moral compass readjusted. Here lies the central tension point - at what point do liberation fighters become like the oppressors they fight? 👉 Join us for the opening performance that activates the installation. The performance features Lyuba Maznova as the central figure, together with Bilyana Tokmakchieva, Yoana Zhecheva, and Simona Arsova. Sound design is by Yves-Christian Angelov, and lingerie design by Gabriela Mihova.
